ORFC 2026 8 – 9 Jan
Mainstream food media is a largely White-controlled and culturally homogenous landscape. This means the accompanying narratives about food culture and justice are shaped by a predominantly White and often male lens. Join us in a conversation with practitioners and funders who are changing this. By supporting forward-thinking media projects, they uplift underexplored stories and cultural connections at a critical juncture in United States politics. This session highlights the counter vision of rematriation of land and politics. Our emphasis is on discussing media strategies that inspire collective action for food sovereignty intertwined with reproductive health equity.
